syence. Genre: Bass-Pop, Future Bass. Zach Montoya and Brayden James met in a science class in college. Brought together by a shared love of live music and production, they formed the electronic duo Syence. Starting their own experiments with music, they have been pioneering the sound they call “bass pop” ever since. The sound today consists of bright, feel-good melodies while also exploring a bass-driven, dark, and edgy side. To date, they've hit Spotify's global viral charts, performed at Snowglobe Music Festival, and continue to grow their audience and the bass pop genre amassing over 45 million streams across the various platforms. Syence’s latest single “a little bit bored” released in February of 2021 and features German pop singer-songwriter Ruuth, who also co-wrote the BTS track “Life Goes On” popularly known for its historic debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “a little bit bored” went viral and generated more than 20 million plays on Triller prior to release, fueled by a campaign partnership with the platform and NYX Cosmetics, a member of the L'Oréal beauty family. News of the track began to spread off-platform and culminated in music industry legend LA Reid signing the duo to his label Hitco Entertainment, joining the likes of Jenifer Lopez, Dixie D’Amelio, SAINt JHN, and Outkast’s Big Boi. In addition to the momentum surrounding “a little bit bored”, Syence has officially signed with Wasserman Music on the booking front. Their agent, Lee Anderson, also represents stars including Zedd, Skrillex, Disclosure, and numerous others. As the world prepares to open back up following the COVID-19 pandemic, Syence is poised for a continuation of what's already been a massive 2021 for the group.
